Top 8 Most Expensive Heavy Bike in The World

Top 8 Most Expensive Heavy Bikes in The World

A bicycle is a two-wheeled, pedal-driven, single-track vehicle, having one wheel on the ground at any given time, and having steering handlebars extending above the front wheel and along the length of the bicycle. In addition to the pedals which rotate to propel the bike forward, bicycles also have brakes which are levers connected to the rear wheel(s) that help slow down and stop the bike when pulled; as well as other parts like gears/cassette, seat (which might not be there), chain/belt, etc.

1: BH Monolith Pro

$100,000: This 3D-printed carbon fiber bicycle is crazy light. The price tag on it is a bit heavier. The BH Monolith Pro could only be described as otherworldly. Its carbon fiber frame is derived from F1 auto racing technology and its engine is a monster of a thing, weighing in at 19 pounds (8kg). It can generate 1,500 watts of power – enough to charge an iPhone 100 times over! It also includes special features like front and rear lights that are powered by your pedal strokes, an ergonomic saddle with motorized adjustment – so you don’t have to get up off your saddle mid-ride to adjust it – as well as disc brakes. That’s right, disc brakes.

2: Origin8 Supergrade Carbon

The Supergrade is built on an all-carbon-fiber frame, with a Campagnolo fork and drivetrain. Price: $23,000. What it's made of: Carbon fiber frame, carbon fork, Shimano Dura-Ace 9000 components. Where it's made: Japan Who would want it: The one percent. How much they'd pay for it: At least $20,000; likely more than that. How many people could you kill with it if you wanted to: 0. How fast can you go on it before you get arrested: It depends where you are; 10 mph or so in most places? Why do we care about how fast someone can ride a bicycle: Because we're curious about everything! What if we told you that there was some kind of secret way to make things go faster? Wouldn't that be awesome? If only there were some kind of vehicle—like a bicycle—that could take advantage of such technology...

3: Genesis Equilibrium Disc

If you’re thinking, How much can I pay for a bike? then look no further than $11,999.99. But what do you get for your money? The Equilibrium Disc gives you an industry-leading 431Wh battery and a top speed of 28mph, which is pretty darn quick (especially if you live somewhere flat). You also get front and rear disc brakes, full suspension that automatically adjusts to your weight, plus an awesome 20-inch display with a speedometer, trip meter, and clock. You can even use it to follow routes uploaded to Strava or Google Maps with GPS navigation!

4: Nicolai Helius

$220,000: Hives are tough. As in, they’re made of carbon fiber, which makes them light and strong. The Nicolai Helius, introduced at last year’s Eurobike trade show (and so new it isn’t yet available for sale), boasts a bold carbon-fiber shell that doubles as its only frame component—no downtube or seat stay caps to break there. And yes, you can ride fast on a $220,000 bike: It comes spec’d with Shimano Di2 electronic shifting and hydraulically actuated Zipp disc brakes. You also get an integrated headlight and taillight powered by rechargeable batteries.

5: Giant Anthem Advanced Pro 0

$3,000 USD and $2,999.00 USD (€2,069.99): £1,500: $5,500 USD: $7,200 CAD (£3,540) €4,590 EUR (€3,390 GBP) : £8,300 GBP: ¥ 2.16 million JPY (¥ 1.57 million): CHF 3'400.- (CHF 2'840.-) : SFr 4'600.-(SFr 3'900.-) : €4'150 EUR (£3'300 GBP) : DKK 72’700 DKK ($10’100 USD).

This is a full carbon fiber frame with a high-end Shimano Ultegra drivetrain and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes.

6: Planet X Hors Categorie SLX 0

Starting at $23,000 and reaching an astounding $25,000, Planet X’s Hors Categorie is known as a superbike. At first glance it may seem a bit impractical – it only has three gears. On mountain roads, however, you really don’t need more than that. And while it might look like a high-tech scooter to you and me – with its carbon fiber frame, Shimano drivetrain, and Campagnolo wheels – people who have ridden one claim otherwise. They say it accelerates faster than any other road bike on earth, and that it handles better than anything else out there. This is due to its unique geometry and lightweight (under 17 pounds). It’s also worth mentioning that being so light means a rider can fly up hills without breaking a sweat. The downside? It costs almost twice as much as some of our other picks here. It isn’t for everyone – but if you want something different, something incredibly special and fast...this could be your best choice.

7: Pinnacle Arkose 3.0 Disc

This $5,200 road bike boasts a stunning carbon fiber frame, Shimano 105 shifting and Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels. Pinnacle says it's ready to race, and it better be. At nearly $5,000, we wouldn't expect anything less. 6: Ghost TKR0999SL: This stealthy road bike with an $8,500 price tag looks more like a V12-powered supercar than a bicycle (and certainly costs as much). The alloy frame has an all-carbon monocoque fork and is built with Campagnolo Super Record components. Of course, it does!

Pinnacle offers many of their bikes on a custom basis, which could easily push prices up past $10K or even $20K if you choose fancy paint jobs and gold-plated accessories. It also looks like some of these bikes come fully assembled by hand at their facility in Bend, Oregon. 5: Segway ES1 Electric Balance Bike: Segway pitches its ES1 bike as an electric vehicle that can travel on roads just like any other vehicle, but it's also one of the few electric bicycles available for purchase from major retailers including Amazon. Its futuristic design isn't exactly subtle—the battery pack even sticks out from under your seat—but it's only about half as expensive as comparable models with similar performance specs.

8: Mercier Kilo TT

$5,850: This model was launched as a top-of-the-line cyclocross/road racing hybrid. It features a carbon fiber construction with internal cabling, an upgraded SRAM Red drivetrain, and an upgraded Ritchey headset. The Kilo TT has Shimano Dura-Ace cantilever brakes with a carbon fiber lever for increased braking power. It also has deep section wheels for increased aerodynamics and a Selle Italia SLR saddle to ensure your comfort on long rides. This is definitely one of those bikes you get what you pay for; it is one of those bikes with refined style and unmatched performance.
